Fort Valley native Ahmed Hill visited FVMS yesterday. He is the first player in the Canadian Basketball League to score 1,000 points. The students and staff were excited to see Mr. 1000 and proud to take pictures with him.

Mrs. Dunbar's ELA students had a great time using the Reading and Thinking Voice strategy in collaborative groups to pair their reading voice with their thinking voice.

We are so excited to welcome our newest members of the FVMS Family!

Students in Mr. Clunis and Mrs. Price's Language Arts class worked in small groups to cite evidence from an article and create a placemat to record their findings.

Students are excited to read their Accelerated Reader Books in Mrs. Price's class!

Students in Ms. Coley's Language Arts and Social Studies classes have tackled vocabulary instruction through charades and word sorts. Students are being engaged and motivated to take pride in their education.

Mrs. Girdner's 6th Grade students made foldables this week to organize information about the three branches of government.

Peach County Schools Information Night

Peach County Schools will be hosting the inaugural Trojan Fest Back-to-School event on Saturday, August 5, 2023, from 9 AM – 1 PM on the campus of Peach County High School, located at 3665 Peach Parkway, Fort Valley, GA. At Trojan Fest, Peach County families and students can expect to receive free school supplies and information about school and community resources while having lots of fun at the event! At Trojan Fest, we are excited to offer various activities for people of all ages, including a bounce house and food trucks. In addition, attendees will be able to “Meet the Trojans” in a meet and greet event with Peach County High School athletes and coaches. We are excited to bring our schools, families, and community together for Trojan Fest! We hope that you will be able to join us for this inaugural event! #PeachIsASweetPlaceToBe

2023-2024 School Hours

The first day of school will be Tuesday, August 1, 2023. Open House is scheduled for Friday, July 28, 2023. This will provide an opportunity for you to meet your child's teacher and visit their classroom. Please view the attachment for additional information.
