Trojan Test Tips

Dear Parents and Guardians,
7th Edition of our TROJANS TEST TIPS!

Welcome back from Spring Break! With only 10 instructional days until the Georgia Milestones begin, this week we encourage students to focus on reading and language arts skills.

Student Practice: Spend 30–45 minutes on one of these tools:

  • ReadTheory – adaptive reading comprehension exercises

  • Newsela – engaging articles with quizzes to strengthen critical thinking

  • Education.com – reading and language arts activities aligned to standards

Trojan Test Tip for Students: Read each question carefully and underline key words like except or most likely to avoid mistakes.
Trojan Test Tip for Parents:

  • Encourage daily reading sessions and discuss what your child read—summarizing passages aloud helps comprehension.

  • Praise effort, not just correct answers, to build confidence.

  • Provide short breaks and movement during practice to keep your student focused.

  • Maintain a calm environment; modeling positivity reduces test anxiety.

Even a small amount of focused practice each day can make a big difference. Thank you for continuing to partner with us as we prepare our students for success!

Warm regards,
