Middle School Basketball League Champions

The Fort Valley Middle School Lady Trojans capped off a perfect, undefeated season by securing the Bibb County Middle School Basketball Championship. In a defensive, hard-fought battle against the Howard Middle School Huskies, the Lady Trojans clinched the title with a 27–26 victory.

Head Coach Braxton Hill attributes the team's success to their unwavering dedication. "It feels great to win the championship," Hill said. "The girls worked hard during the school year. The coaching put them in a position to win. They went out and executed the plays and worked hard."

The victory was especially sweet for the players, who were determined to bring the trophy back to FVMS after a disappointing playoff loss to Howard last season. Lailah Johnson expressed the pride of the "redemption" win. "I feel like it's a big accomplishment, because last year, when we played Howard in the playoffs, they beat us," she said.

The game itself was a rollercoaster of momentum. "It was a good game overall," added Jordyn Ragin. "We were up at first, started to go down a little bit, but we brought it back up. We did well overall as a team."

This championship marks a historic moment for the school's athletic program. "We haven't won a championship in decades. It feels good to bring it home," said Ma'lasia Robbins.

The Fort Valley Middle School community is incredibly proud of the Lady Trojans’ efforts and congratulates them on this major milestone.
