🚌 National School Bus Safety Week – October 21–25
Next week, we’ll join schools nationwide in celebrating National School Bus Safety Week and honoring our incredible bus drivers.
Our drivers are often the first and last school representatives your child sees each day—they greet students with smiles, ensure safe travel, and play a huge part in keeping our routines running smoothly.
Please take a moment this week to thank your child’s bus driver for their service and care. We truly love and appreciate those who serve Fort Valley Middle School so faithfully!
🍧 Kona Ice – This Thursday
Kona Ice will be on campus Thursday for students to enjoy a cool treat!

🌎 Fall ESOL Night – Thank You!
A huge thank you to all of our parents and families who joined us for our Fall ESOL event. The food, fun, and fellowship were outstanding, and the information shared was meaningful and impactful. We are so grateful for your support!
✍️ WriteScore Assessment – Next Week
Our WriteScore assessment window opens next week!
WriteScore is a writing assessment that helps us evaluate your child’s writing strengths and areas for growth. Students respond to an on-demand writing prompt that is scored by certified evaluators. The results help teachers tailor instruction and prepare students for the state writing assessment later this year.
We’ll share more details soon about your student’s specific testing day.
Thank you for your continued support of Fort Valley Middle School—Where Learning is Required. Together, as One Team with One Dream, we’re making this a year of excellence!
Warm regards,
Kizzy S. Johnson
